A little about 'Moving On'
As part of my second year short film project, I was part of a group which produced a minute long short film named 'Moving On' about a young girl that has to come to terms with parting with her childhood toys.
2022 was an incredible year for our group Squawk Producktions, as 'Moving On' was part of the official selection for the Animation Dingle Film Festival, as well as winning Best Student Animation at the Nenagh Children's Film Festival

'Moving On' Animated Clips
I was responsible for rough animation for several of the scenes during production. in this shot, I was responsible for the facial expression for the character of Calin.
This shot was one of the first scenes I got to animate.
This was a challenging shot as it was the first time I had to take my design and animate it in the style we had chosen for the film
I love this scene because it is filled with emotion as it is at teh climax of the film.

This shot was challenging for me as up until this point I had only animated characters doing actions, but in this shot I had to animate a character not only interacting with an object but expressing specific emotions through facial expressions and body language.
